The rollers at ROGERS FOAM CORP  exhibited significant wear and tear due to the aggressive tools used to remove adhesive build up. The company sought to minimize downtime while rejuvenating surface finish and non-stick performance of these rollers with a durable, hydrophobic coating to minimize production downtime due to adhesive build up.

SOLUTION: 

  • Downtime – 1-day, and ALL work performed with the rollers in place.
  • Surface Preparation – Metal surface was refinished to remove or minimize any existing scratches and other surface roughness issues.
  • Coating Application Process – Rollers cleaned with a light solvent, allowed to ambiently (air) cure, and then applied in a wiping and buffing manner to ensure no overspray of the coatings to the surrounding area.
