Advanced Composite Mold Sealers and Release Coatings for Aerospace’s Advanced Aircrafts.
Certified Boeing BAC5578, BAC5555
Shop Aerospace CoatingsAdvanced sealer and release coatings employed by the world’s leading Aerospace manufacturers around the world.
Dyna-Tek began selling coating products in the aerospace market in 2010, where we sold customized, thin-film, corrosion and thermal resistant coating to Spirit AeroSystems.
In 2018, Boeing certified Dyna-Tek’s DT-420 and DT-6060 mold sealer/release coatings for their BAC5578 programs which has led to becoming a primary supplier for their advanced epoxy/composite structure components for programs like the 787, 777 and other aircraft programs. Boeing’s certification of Dyna-Tek coatings for these programs proved to be one of the fastest approval times for any new product in Boeing’s history.
Today, we not only sell to other Boeing process suppliers supporting these programs, but we are also proud to support various other cutting edge advanced composite programs for industry leaders such as Northrop Grumman and Spirit AeroSystems.
Composite Molding Sealers and Release Coatings
- Clear
- Semi-permanent
- Solvent-based
- Fast oxygen/moisture-cure chemistry of 60-90 minutes.
- For use in hand layup, vacuum bagging, vacuum infusion, RTM, Autoclave and more
- Formulated for advanced composites using epoxy polyester resins
- Ultra-high thermal stability (1000° F/538° C)
- Excellent, high slip results even with challenging mold geometries
- Easy Application – May be wiped or sprayed on
- Our Sealers are hydrophobic & Release coatings are borderline superhydrophobic
- Excellent adhesion to carbon fiber/epoxy, monolithic graphite, castable graphite, ceramics and all metals including aluminum, steel and INVAR and alloys of the same
Our Value Proposition is Irrefutable
4 to 8 times more pulls: Customer testimonials tout that they are getting 4-8x’s more production pulls per sealer/release coating application than competitive legacy products.
No need to strip/remove the prior sealer/release coatings when recoating: Re-coating molds typically does not require the prior sealer coat to be mechanically etched with dry ice and other abrasive media.
More production cycles without recoating means:
- More production, per shift, more capacity.
- Less Labor costs required to strip/clean the molds, reapply the sealer/release coatings.
Reapply our mold release coatings to rejuvenate the hydrophobic properties of the mold.
- Provided the DT-400 Series Sealers haven’t been worn off, you can continue to extend the production life of the mold/tooling by applying additional coats of DT-6060/ 6060e mold release coatings to rejuvenate the release properties of the mold without starting over again with a new coat of the mold sealer.
- When applied in a wipe-on manner, often the tooling can be “refreshed” without removing it from production fixtures.
